Shatter the Silence was created out of a heart passion to educate families on sex trafficking and to shed light onto an incredibly dark side of our society.

STS founder, Mandee Shivers, alongside her family has worked with women and youth coming out of sex trafficking for over a decade. Through this, she has seen that there needs to be a space where parents, alongside their youth, can learn about what sex trafficking is. How to not become a victim of it. How to get help if you, or someone you know, is experiencing sexual coercion. And how parents can be aware of social media platforms, gaming platforms and social apps that traffickers use to groom their victims.

Mandee is passionate about creating a space for families to have these uncomfortable conversations together. So many are coerced into trafficking because groomers convince young people that they can not tell their families what is going on. She believes "Shattering the Silence" about sex trafficking and bringing light to what is going on in our society is what will bring an end to modern-day slavery as we know it.
